The Meeting Place
The Forks, located at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, has been a meeting place for over 6,000 years. Indigenous peoples traded at The Forks, followed by European fur traders, Scottish settlers, railway pioneers and tens of thousands of immigrants. Today, they welcome nearly 4 million visitors and play host to nearly 300 events.
The meeting place for everyone, at the heart of the city.
With your support, The Forks Foundation makes The Forks a better place: honouring our heritage through public art, creating celebrations like nowhere else, adding amenities where everyone can play, and helping us continue to be the meeting place for generations to come.
